Romania’s delegation has achieved remarkable success at the first stage of the World Rowing Cup held in Seville, Spain, securing a total of four medals. The count includes one gold medal, one silver, and two bronze medals, showcasing the strength and determination of Romanian rowers on the international stage.

The highlight of this event was the outstanding performance of Simona Radiș and Ancuța Bodnar, who returned to the women’s double sculls category and clinched the final victory with a time of 7 minutes, 1 second, and 5 hundredths. Their exceptional skills propelled them ahead of competitors from the Netherlands and Ireland, marking a significant comeback after a season where they competed in different configurations.

Silver in Men’s Double Sculls

The second medal for Romania came from the men’s double sculls event, where Florin Lehaci and Ștefan Berariu finished in second place.
